Technical Writer

The Technical Writer researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as technical reports, manuals, procedures and other documentation as needed. Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. Excellent written communication skills. You will help to educate and mentor the current team on writing with a common voice.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure delivery or work product

Field Service Technician II

The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for providing best in class service and support for TARGAN’s broiler hatchery customers. A person in this position should possess the skills necessary to maintain, repair, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug electro-mechanical chick vaccination and other integrated automated systems. Primary responsibilities for this position include maintenance and emergency repairs on all TARGAN installed equipment at the customer location. The FST must be able to use his or her outstanding mechanical skills as well as solid communication skills to work closely with customer supervisors, production employees, and technicians on complex problems and assume responsibilities for continued customer satisfaction. Work assignments will require adherence to a standardized preventative maintenance program for assigned customers while being able to identify and resolve unanticipated system issues in a timely manner when they occur. This position requires frequent travel to customer sites to assist with installation, servicing, and repair of TARGAN vaccination equipment and related sub-systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine/scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned TARGAN systems.
  • Provide electrical/mechanical support and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Required participation in territory after hours support and repairs.
  • Ensure the Targeted Vaccine Delivery System (TVDS) standardized operations and processes are followed and adhered to in your assigned territory.
  • Implement and manage the TARGAN end user training program for all customer employees responsible for working with our installed systems.
  • Support and conduct the execution of the TARGAN system evaluation and performance program.
  • Responsible for system and service related communications within assigned customer hatcheries.
  • Principle for collecting and completing all relevant TARGAN reporting forms and procedures including scheduling visits, system maintenance and troubleshooting outcomes, customer site contacts, on-site parts usage and inventory, customer training and certification program, vehicle and equipment maintenance within assigned time.
  • Provide input and support to TARGAN Engineering and Bio Research teams.

  • Travel up to 80% of the time.

Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer – 2 positions

The Software Engineer role is a key technical position in a fast-paced, challenging, and positive work environment. TARGAN is developing its data systems platform to support its ongoing R&D efforts and upcoming commercial systems. These systems will serve as the backbone for TARGAN’s continued growth and be built using state-of-the-art technologies. This role will be responsible for 1) the development and support of R&D systems to facilitate experiment planning, data capture, data tracking and data reporting for accelerating product development and 2) assist in the planning, development and testing of architecture and platforms for our commercial based systems.

This role will collaborate across the organization interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement well thought-out solutions utilizing best practices and current industry standards. The candidate in this role will also help define and shape the data systems as the company grows.

The DevOps Engineer role is a key, high-impact technical, position in a fast-paced, challenging, and positive work environment. IT Support Specialist

Acting under the supervision of the IT Manager, this position directly interfaces with TARGAN’s internal customers to provide IT support while maintaining a high level of reliability. The IT Support Specialist will troubleshoot, configure, deploy, and support desktops, laptops, business applications, networks, and other IT assets. This role requires a very high level of technical proficiency, initiative and this position will also be responsible for providing support to various IT projects, as assigned. To be successful in this role a candidate must be able to operate with a high level of autonomy, show initiative, employ an analytical mindset, and be motivated to deliver customer service that builds trust and demonstrates great attention to detail.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience, with Microsoft Windows 10 installation, administration, troubleshooting, and support. Required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc. Required.
  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot, pc’s, hardware, and peripherals; perform pc imaging, provisioning, and maintain asset management records

Principal Mechanical Engineer

The Principal Mechanical Engineer holds a key position in the design and advancement of New Product Development (NPD) initiatives for bio-devices for the global poultry, livestock and aquaculture industries. This vacancy is to be filled with a highly creative, seasoned, hands-on engineer, who will lead/participate in NPD programs for new applied bio-mechanical technology and devices from conceptualization to development and commercialization, including, idea generation, research, evaluation, product design, feasibility analysis, value assessment, product introduction, field application and commercialization. This position currently reports to the Director of Mechanical Engineering and leads development initiatives internally through a matrix organization in addition to managing external consulting and design firms, to accelerate NPD initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership responsibility of driving technological/scientific development of electro-mechanical industrial automation equipment and sub-systems.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge and strong leadership to product development teams to aggressively deliver the company’s product portfolio.
  • Act in the capacity of technical expert in the areas of electro-mechanical R&D and/or product development.
