TARGAN Expands into Peru Through WingScan™ Partnership with Redondos

Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, March 18, 2026 — TARGAN, a leading animal AgTech company, has announced a new agreement with Redondos S.A., one of Peru’s largest poultry producers, to implement its WingScan™ automated chick‑sexing technology. The systems are scheduled for installation in 2026, marking TARGAN’s entry into the Peruvian market and further expansion of hatchery automation across Latin America.

WingScan has already been adopted by poultry producers across North America and Europe, where the technology is helping modernize hatchery operations through greater precision, consistency, and throughput. Its expansion into South America reflects growing global demand for advanced automation solutions that support a more efficient and resilient poultry supply chain.

Carlos Bautista, Key Account Manager for Latin America at TARGAN, said: “Across Latin America, the poultry industry is navigating a generational shift in its workforce while continuing to scale production. Technologies like WingScan give producers a practical way to bring greater consistency, precision, and reliability to hatchery operations. Redondos has long been recognized as one of Peru’s leading poultry companies, and with this step the company is well positioned to further strengthen its operations while advancing the adoption of automated sexing in the region.”

Jorge Belevan, General Manager at Redondos commented: “At Redondos, we are committed to adopting technologies that support reliable, efficient production. This collaboration allows us to introduce automation that directly benefits our teams and our customers. Importantly, it reflects our ongoing wider effort to modernize our processes and contribute to the advancement of poultry production in Peru.”

On TARGAN’s wider growth strategy, Ramin Karimpour, CEO and Founder of TARGAN, added: “Latin America plays a major role in the global poultry market, with producers supplying chicken to markets around the world. The adoption of our technology in Peru is an important step as we continue expanding our platform globally and supporting producers with scalable automation designed for the next generation of poultry production.”

WingScan automates chick sexing using advanced imaging and machine learning, sorting birds with over 97% accuracy while processing up to 160,000 chicks per hour. Since launching in 2023, the system has sexed more than two billion birds globally, now processing over 35 million chicks each week, and has more than 55 systems installed worldwide, reinforcing TARGAN’s position as the leader in automated chick sexing technology.

Established in 1973, Redondos S.A. is an integrated poultry and pork producer operating across the full value chain, from feed manufacturing to processing and distribution. The company offers chicken, turkey, and pork products under well‑known Peruvian brands and supplies both retail and foodservice customers nationwide.
